Revival – Challenge and Change
BySince 1988, Dr Rodney Howard-Browne have traveled extensively throughout the USA and elsewhere in the world. From small churches to large stadiums, the message of revival has resounded. His ministry has made friends and enemies. You have to really experience the touch of heaven personally to be able to understand what God is doing in the meetings.
An example of this is the Good News Mdantsane (pronounced – mmm dant sa knee) in South Africa. Crowds upwards of 50,000 gathered each night for five nights. There were many miracles of healing but more importantly, over 100,000 souls gave their lives to the Lord that week.

You cannot be in a meeting and try to figure it out from an intellectual standpoint. There have been many critics who have written articles, books and online critiques about Rodney Howard-Browne. Equally, there have been literally tens of thousands of people all over the world who have been profoundly touched and their lives radically altered for ever.
It’s easy to be a critic, but it’s another thing to lay down your life and make personal sacrifices to reach a lost and dying world for Jesus. To carry the gospel to the four corners of the earth. This is the vision of Revival Ministries International founder, Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne.

That is so true that you have to really experience the touch of heaven personally to be able to understand what God is doing in the meetings. As a Christian I never knew about God touching his people and they fall to the ground. Some call it slain in the spirit. I saw it on TV a couple of times but was only focused on whether the preacher was pushing the people down on floor or not as he prayed for them. I never thought about or knew that God was actually touching His people.
I came to know that God was actually touching the people in a Rodney Howard-Browne meeting in 1993. This is how I got the revelation: I lived in Springhill, FL and worked in Tampa, Florida. My sister invited me to her church where Rodney Howard-Browne was preaching at as a guest speaker.
She told me no matter how late you get off of work come to the meeting. So the first meeting that I went to I arrived late. Rodney Howard-Browne was preaching and I stood at the entrance doors listening. He told a joke and I chuckled, thinking to myself that was good. The people were laughing and they kept on laughing. Then I thought to myself come on they are going overboard here. Then suddenly I felt embarrassed for him because I thought the people were only laughing to make him feel at ease because he was the guest speaker. Next he calls a lady up to pray for her and she fell out in the spirit. Then I thought wow, I saw this on TV so I walked to the second row and looked at the lady lying on the floor and then suddenly I said (not out loud but inside my heart I cried to God) Oh God! This is you!
My eyes were fixed on the lady’s feet then I saw her laughing but I heard crying. I could not understand why I heard crying when she was laughing. Then I heard the Lord say to me I am taking all those bad dreams away from you. You see as a very young child my dad beat my mom up on several times. When I reached my teen years I would wake up crying because in the dreams I would hear my mother crying. It even stayed with me as and adult. But since this encounter with God I have had no more of those dreams. Jesus took it away! I am so thankful to the Lord for the ministry of Rodney Howard-Browne.
